The major sperm proteins are a family of about 50 small, basic proteins in C. elegans sperms. The genes are concurrently and exclusively synthesized in the testis, suggesting coordinate temporal and spatial regulation. This coordination is brought by highly conserved promoter sequences of about 100 base pairs in the 5' flanking sequences of the transcription initiation. Eight of the sequences were arranged in solo and in trio. Scores of arrangements for chorus, piano etc. are available upon request, while this version is performed by softsynth voices ("Delay Lama"), real and sampled shamisens.
