Morphological mimicry between species, such as mantis mimicking orchid flower, is the fount of fascination and awe. Mimicry seems pervasive in biological world and seen even among different species of macromolecules, such as RNA and protein. Here, one of the best illustrated cases of molecular mimicry between tRNA and ribosome-releasing factor (RRF) is displayed. After termination of translation, the emptied site for tRNA should be occupied with RRF to trigger the disassembly of the posttranslation complex (reference: P. Tsonis, Anatomy of Gene Regulation, Cambridge University Press, 2003).
