Haruo Yokoyama

A Graduate of Seton Hall University, Haruo Yokoyama is the founder of World Student Village, an Organization that for twenty -five years has provided dormitories for foreign students in Tokyo. In addition, he owns and operates a Japanese language school for foreigners preparing to enter Japanese Universities, as well as foreign language schools for Japanese.

As a three-term member of the Nerima City (located within metropolitan Tokyo) Assembly, Mr. Yokoyama is engaged extensively in activities for the promotion of inter-cultural exchange between Japanese and foreigners.

Mr. Yokoyama has previously published three books in addition to the present work - A Politician of the Baddy Boomer Generation (1996, Kodansha); Coexistence with Foreigners in Tokyo (1996, Kindai-Bungeisha); and So You Want to Become a Politician? (1998, Kindai-Bungeisha). Yankee Dogs and Yellow Perils is his first book to appear in English.
